IPL 2025 ka grand finale, jo 3 June ko Ahmedabad ke Narendra Modi Stadium mein hone wala hai, uske pehle Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ke captain Rajat Patidar aur Punjab Kings (PBKS) ke captain Shreyas Iyer ne ek press conference mein media se baat ki. Dono captains ka vibe bilkul chill tha, na kuch strategy di, bas apni team ka confidence dikha diya. Yeh thi asli calm before the storm, jab dono teams apni pehli IPL trophy ke liye ready hain.
Do Captains, Do Vibe
Rajat Patidar, jo pehli baar RCB ke captain bane, ne sabko hairaan kar diya hai. Yeh 31 saal ka batter, jo abhi tak India ke liye T20I nahi khela, Virat Kohli ke baad captain bana. Logon ne ispe sawaal uthaye, lekin Patidar ne apni cool captaincy aur smart tactics se sabka muh band kar diya. Unhone RCB ko Qualifier 1 mein PBKS ko 8 wicket se hara ke fourth final mein jagah dilayi. Patidar ka funda simple hai – team ko relax rakhna aur pressure ko side mein rakhna.
Shreyas Iyer toh IPL finals ka pura pro hai. 2024 mein Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ko champion banaya, aur ab PBKS ke captain hain, jinhone team ko 9 jeet aur 19 points ke saath table topper banaya. Auction mein ₹26.75 crore mein khareede gaye Iyer ne apni leadership se PBKS ko ekdum top pe la diya. Unka experience aur high-pressure matches mein khelna, jaise Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy final mein Patidar ke Madhya Pradesh ke khilaaf, is match mein ek alag maza la raha hai.

Patidar ne kaha, “Bhai, expectation toh banta hai jab RCB jaisi team ka captain ho, par main bas apne control mein focus karta hoon, present mein rehta hoon.” Unhone captaincy ke naye safar ko enjoy kiya aur senior players aur international stars ka support liya. Jab Virat Kohli jaisi badi personality ke saath khelne ke pressure ke baare mein pucha gaya, toh Patidar ne chill kar ke kaha, “Mujhe koi frustration nahi. Hum final mein hain, par hum bas apna best cricket khelne ki soch rahe hain.”
Iyer, jo doosri baar IPL final mein khel raha hai, ne excitement dikhayi par apna cool rakha. “Main toh bas moment enjoy kar raha hoon, situation ko cherish kar raha hoon,” unhone kaha. Unhone PBKS ke shuru ke do jeeton ka zikr kiya, jisse team ko momentum mila. “Jab season shuru hua aur do match jeete, toh momentum ban gaya, aur har player apna game upar le aaya.” Iyer ne coach Ricky Ponting ke saath apni dosti ka bhi zikr kiya, jo unhe PBKS mein set hone mein help karta hai.
Dono captains ke beech ek purana connection bhi tha, jo press conference mein light moment laaya. Dono ne December 2024 ke Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy final ko yaad kiya, jahan Iyer ki Mumbai ne Patidar ki Madhya Pradesh ko hara diya. Patidar ne has ke kaha, “Subah Shreyas se mila toh kaha ki yeh Mushtaq Ali final jaisa lag raha hai, bas farak yeh hai ki yeh IPL final hai.” Iyer ne bhi is coincidence ko enjoy kiya par focus match pe rakha.
Match ka Scene
IPL 2025 ka final ek bada moment hai, kyunki na RCB ne kabhi trophy jeeti hai, na hi PBKS ne. RCB 2009, 2011 aur 2016 mein final mein gaya, par har baar haath khali raha. PBKS ka bhi bas 2014 mein ek final tha, jo woh haar gaye. Dono teams ne league stage mein 9 jeet aur 19 points ke saath khatam kiya, par PBKS ne net run rate mein RCB ko pichhe chhoda.
RCB ka safar is baar solid raha hai. Final mein RCB apna Qualifier 1 wala domination repeat karna chahega, jabki PBKS badla lene ke mood mein hai. RCB ke liye ek bada motivation hai Virat Kohli ke liye trophy jeetna. Patidar ne kaha, “Hum yeh Kohli ke liye jeetna chahte hain. Unhone India aur RCB ke liye itna kiya hai.”
Storm se Pehle ka Sannata
Press conference mein dono captains ka chill vibe dekh ke laga ki yeh storm se pehle ka sannata hai. Patidar ka simple approach aur Iyer ka moment-enjoy karne ka style is final mein mental clarity ko utna hi important bana raha hai jitna on-field game. 3 June 2025 ko Narendra Modi Stadium mein jab yeh match hoga, toh ek nayi champion team banegi, aur ya toh Patidar ya Iyer ka naam IPL history mein likha jayega.
